D&A College Prospectus 2023-24

Gotgreenfingers?–come andsampleourhabitats, farmlandandgardens. At the Kingsway campus, our showpiece garden is complete with potting shed, ponds, dry stone walls and grassland. Beautifully maintained by our Horticulture students, this is a tranquil and reflective space and a chance for students to get creative and take ownership. There are also three industry- standard commercial greenhouses blooming with an array of plants and flowers. In Arbroath, Agriculture and Estates students enjoy access to a huge yard with polytunnels, greenhouses and an allotment. Packed with strawberry plants and blueberry bushes donated by local farms, this is the ideal facility for exploring everything from commercial food production to composting. Just minutes away in St Vigeons, we have the jewel in the crown, The Glebe. Comprising a collection of fields and a wildlife garden, The Glebe is also home to deer, foxes and other species plus a range of machinery for students tomaster, from tractors to a mini digger! cul tivating
