D&A College Prospectus 2024-25

Got green fingers? – come and sample our habitats, farmland and gardens. Our showpiece gardens can be found at our Kingsway campus. The gardens consist of potting sheds, greenhouses and planting-out areas. Students maintain our gardens, which feature drystone walls, ponds and grassland. This tranquil haven provides a reflective space for students to study creatively. At Arbroath, you will find our greenhouses, polytunnels, and a large yard and allotment area. The tunnels are packed with soft fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and rasp berries, all donated by local farms. Ideal for exploring the world of commercial fruit production - a key agricultural sector in Tayside. A few minutes from the Arbroath Campus, we have The Glebe at St Vigeans. The Glebe features a collection of fields, woodland, and a wildlife garden as much of the local wildlife, such as deer, foxes and squirrels and an area for training on a range of machinery such as tractors, mini-diggers and loading-shovels. cul t i vat i ng

Our horticulture students don’t just master skills and techniques; they celebrate their achievements and leave a legacy for others to enjoy and learn from.
