Always wanted to study for a degree but haven’t found a way to get the qualifications you need? We offer a range of full-time courses covering different subjects, vocations and career pathways that are designed to support your progression to higher level study with us or at university. Many of these courses incorporate SWAP. The Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) is a partnership between colleges and universities to support access to higher education for adults.

We have a wide range of articulation agreements with universities across Scotland, covering over 350 possible routes from college to university. Articulation is when a student on an HNC or HND programme can progress into either year two (from HNC) or year three (from HND) of a degree at university. Our articulation agreements mean that students who have completed the relevant HNC/D can progress on to university without having to repeat a level of study. Each year hundreds of D&A students go from college to university.

net zero the place to make your mark Do you care about the climate emergency? We do!

We are committed to tackling the climate emergency and launched our Climate Emergency Action Plan in early 2022 mapping out how we are going to work towards achieving Net Zero by 2045. We have been working hard over the last 14 years and have reduced our carbon footprint by an incredible 66%. We have installed a range of sustainable technologies such as a biomass plant at Arbroath Campus and solar panels and air source heat pumps at Kingsway Campus. We have also installed rainwater harvesting, undertaken an LED lighting replacement programme on all campuses and became the first college in Scotland to remove all disposable cups from our campuses and promote the use of crockery and reusable cups. We have installed plastic roads and car parks using recycled plastics, removed the sale of plastic bottled drinks, installed access to free mains water stations and have replaced all takeaway containers with products which are composted on site. We can’t do this without everyone doing their bit. So, are you with us? Of course you are.
